Mikado and taffeta are crisp fabrics with plenty of body that hold their shape. They build the dress rather than simply dress it: a skirt that keeps its volume, clean lines and a structured bodice. They are the fabrics for brides who want a couture look, understated and architectural, or on the contrary a grand princess volume, with a gown that keeps its shape from morning to night.
For a Mikado or taffeta wedding dress in Lyon, three Ricca Sposa designs are available in the boutique. Bruna, in ivory Mikado, has an A-line cut; its corset is enhanced with embroidered lace and it comes with a detachable Chantilly lace bolero. Tafrielle, in ivory taffeta, is convertible: a short balloon skirt trimmed with bows, then a detachable long skirt that turns it into a princess gown finished with a train. Maorine, in taffeta, has a princess silhouette, an asymmetric drape across the bodice and a long, dramatic train.
These fabrics are best discovered in motion, at a fitting by appointment in our Lyon boutique.
